Dear Friends
On behalf of the U.S. Department of State Office of Cooperative Threat Reduction, I would like to express my sincere thanks to all of you for your participation and role in the success of the November delegation visit from Eurasia to the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) Annual Meeting. Your participation and enthusiasm made this conference a resounding success.
I hope that each of you found the conference to be a unique opportunity to meet with and learn about new research and technologies presented by chemical scientists from Russia, Kazakhstan and Ukraine. The amount of time spent in one-on-one meetings at the conference was a testament to the real success of their participation in this event. We greatly appreciated your efforts, and we stand ready to facilitate matches between your company or organization and technologies from represented institutes.
Please do not hesitate to contact me or others from my office, the International Science and Technology Center (ISTC) or the Science and Technology Center in Ukraine (STCU) for assistance in facilitating contact between your company or institution and scientists or representatives whom you met with during the conference. My office and the ISTC and STCU also stand ready to assist your efforts should you desire further collaboration as a partner with the ISTC or STCU. In addition, if you were not able to establish successful matches at the conference, we are happy to work with you to link you with other scientists or institutes whose skills or capabilities may better match the interests of your company or institution.
I would also like to let you know that you will be able to continue to obtain information about the institutes you met with at the conference as well as additional information about the State U.S. Bio-Chem Redirect Program through the conference website. We will continue to maintain and build this website, and we will be regularly updating the website to make it a resource for you.
If you have additional questions regarding the conference or programs funded through our office, please feel free to contact me (Tel: 202-736-4747, Email: CameronEE@state.gov), Aija Straumanis (Tel: 202-736-7694, Email: StraumanisA@state.gov), Michael Valentine at ISTC (Tel: 7-095-797-4543 Email: valentine@istc.ru), or Lyubov Taranenko at STCU (lyubov.taranenko@stcu.int) at any time.
Once again, thank you for your participation and your role in making this event a success!
Sincerely,
Elizabeth Cameron
