The Science and Technology Center in Ukraine (STCU) and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) are sponsoring an International Workshop in Kiev. Although the primary focus of the workshop will be to introduce top-notch scientists from select research institutes in Ukraine to potential Western industrial partners and collaborators, scientists from institutes in Azerbaijan, Georgia, Uzbekistan, and Moldova will also participate in the workshop. During the workshop, selected institutes will present an overview of technical capabilities, innovations and collaborative R&D interests to a primarily Western audience. |
Panel discussions will be featured on: 1) Bio-Medical Technologies; 2) New Materials and Nanotechnologies; 3) Aerospace Technologies; and 3) Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation Technologies. The workshop will also address commercialization challenges in the former Soviet Union and strategies to overcome them. Exhibits of promising research will be available, and leading scientists will be accessible for discussions with attendees. Organizers are seeking participation from industry, government, and international organizations and are ready to assist interested participants set up one-on-one matchmaking meetings. Following the workshop, visits to leading institutes in Kiev will allow exploration of possibilities for collaboration. |
