Basic tasks
- Study of the chemistry of biologically active peptides, proteins, nucleic acids and their components;
- Research of the chemical models of biological processes, synthesis and study of biological properties of new bioregulators for application in medicine and in agriculture;
- Development of scientific bases of synthesis and technology of obtaining of practically important products and materials from hydrocarbon raw materials;
- Research and solutions of severe ecological problems, in particular the development of methods of liquidation of consequences of technogenic influence on soil, water and air; cleaning of sewages of industrial enterprises and dumps of domestic wastes; development of methods of utilization of wastes of oil-processing plants, some chemical matters and polymeric materials, development of methods of fixing of radio nuclides at temporal storage of radio-active wastes.
- Development of new medicinal chemicals, computer forecast of biological activity and other properties of substances, computer spectral data analysis and authentication of substances on his basis, development on the basis of models of artificial neuron networks of the computer programs for the control of quality of technological processes;
- Ecological rehabilitation of environment;
- Organic synthesis of matters with potential biological activity, including elementoorganic analogues of natural connections;
- Development of heterogeneous catalysts for the needs of oil-processing industry (processes of the catalytic cracking, izomerization of hydrocarbon raw material);
- Development of antioxidizing, antideteriorative and antifriction additives to lubricating materials and also high-octane additives to the petrols.
The institute has standard equipment for synthetic work, including spectrometers (IR, PMR, EPR), chromatographs, devices for testing catalysts, oil products, and a unique automated analyzer of detonation firmness of petrol.
