About ICCT
The Institute of Chemistry and Chemical Technology of National Academy of Sciences (ICCT NAS KR) is one of the largest Academia Institutes of Kyrgyz Republic.
In the ICCT, 3 academicians, 5 corresponding-members, 2 honored academicians are working. In 16 laboratories 14 Doctors of Sciences and 50 PhD work.
The scientific investigations in field of chemistry were started in Kyrgyz Republic in 1943 after the foundation of Institute of Chemistry in Kyrgyz Department of USSR Academy of Sciences. In 1960 two institutes were founded for further development of chemical science:
- Institute of Inorganic and Physical Chemistry and
- Institute of Organic Chemistry
In 1994 on the base of these institutes the Institute of Chemistry and Chemical Technology of National Academy of Sciences (ICCT NAS KR) was founded.
Scientists of Institute have achieved the big successes in the development of technologies of processing of mineral raw material of Republic. The scientists had been awarded with the State Premiums of Kyrgyz Republic for the development and introduction of extraction technologies of allocation rare-earth elements (1980), creation of the new methods of reception of especially pure antimony (1981), for development of scientific bases of complex use of ore minerals (1995), for creation of new biologically active compounds.
Now the ICCT have been carried out the long term interdisciplinary research in field of high national priority. Its mission is to conduct innovative research in the environmental and sectors of biotechnology, and to make discoveries leading either to important new applications or to the solution of critical problems hindering advances in biotechnology.

Structure of the Institute: main scientific activity
Laboratory of biophysical chemistry
Development of scientific bases of reception of physiologically active substances on the basis of natural polymers to receipt of fermental preparations of prolonged action for medicine and biotechnology. Researches on selection of optimum conditions of conjugation of trypsin and α-chymotrypsin with dialdehyde-pectic acid are carried out. Synthesis of mixed ligand complexes of metals with amino acids and vitamins to model of the co-enzyme action have been fulfilled. Preparations of peroxidase immobilized on the humic acids have been received. New highly effective antitumor preparations on a basis pectinates and polygalacturonates of metals have been synthesized.
The laboratory has established the major research directions in the key disciplines: Environmental Biotechnology, Ecotoxicology, Soil Management, Risk Assessment and Biosafety and built up a substantial technical infrastructure, which includes analytical instrumentation, informatics, and fermentation capacity. Special attention is given to the development of integral mechanisms for solving problems related to management of environmental risks associated with economic activity in industrial and agricultural sectors, including risks to water and soil and possible remediation. The laboratory is a member of the International Biochemical Society.
Laboratory of inorganic chemistry
Synthesis and studying of physical properties of crystals of coordination connections of metals’ salts with a carbamide. It is established, that many synthesized complexes possess with the properties of the raised photoluminescence, the converter of laser infra-red in visible radiation or nonlinear properties. Structural researches have shown that crystals have time or channels of the discrete size and can serve molecular сит or membranes for reception of especially pure substances. It is shown, that carbamidic solutions can be used for increase of an extractability degree редкоземельных metals from their natural concentrates. The proposed method (the USSR patent) in 1990 to introduction by the Kirghiz metallurgical plant with large economic benefit has been accepted.
Laboratory of chemistry and technology of antimony and rare metals
Development of physical and chemical bases on complex extraction of non-ferrous metals from ores from Republic deposits and synthesis of new salts of antimonic acid. The technology of reception of especially pure antimony was developed. The technological scheme on processing of sub-standard antimonic ores and the waste products to extract of antimony and arsenic from ores simultaneously was developed.
Laboratory chemistry and technologies of noble metals
Monitoring of dead rocks and "tails" and a drainage of acid waters from Kumtor deposit. Dependence on breed composition processes of oxidation of sulfide contained rocks from Kumtor deposit are investigated, influence on them of accompanying sulfides and a microflora had been investigated. It is shown, that oxidation proceeds in the chemical way under certain conditions (pH6,85-8,1, presence of sulfosol), and the biogenic factor results in acceleration of oxidation; water circulation creates the favorable conditions to develop of microorganisms strains and an incremental value of sulphates - ions.
Laboratory of chemistry and technology of the industrial ecology
Development of physical and chemical bases of optimization of processes of fuel combustion, recarbonization of water-salt systems and salvaging of the secondary raw material. Scientific bases of forecasting of dispersion of pollutants in an atmosphere have been developed. Systems of preparation and delivering of water-fuel emulsions and their hardware decor were developed.
Laboratory of chemistry of coal and humic compounds
Research of coal from deposits of Kyrgyzstan to receipt of the humic fertilizers, new biologically active drugs, soil structure formers and coal briquettes. Controlled synthesis of adducts from components of brown coals’ humic acids with monomeric organic matters of the set structure has been developed to receipt of new physiologically active materials and biostimulants of a wide spectrum of action for medicine and agriculture.
Laboratories of spectroscopy of plasma
Ionic - plasma precipitation of layers of amorphous hydrogenized silicon for elements of photo-electric transducers of energy. The generator of high ionized carbon plasma with vacuum-arc evaporation of the spent graphite cathode was developed. Composition coverings on the basis of the supersolid compounds of carbon obtained with the plasma ionic - bundle precipitations in vacuum are investigated. Optimization of technology of diamond layers and carbamides of transitive metals was carried out. Features of formation of structure of diamond-like films and influences on them of external parameters have been established.
Laboratory of physics and chemistry of natural disperse systems and salts
Development of technology of processing of halurgic raw material of the Kyrgyz Republic. Techniques of reception of calcareous promoted sorbent from clays and silicic breeds are
developed. The resource sparing technology of products of wall ceramics with recovery of the coal-mining industry is developed. Method of reception of paints for marks of sheep on the basis of color clays and lanoline is developed.
Laboratory of chemistry of amino acids and their derivatives
Synthesis of high effective biostimulators, medicinal and pesticidal drugs on the basis of compounds of L-amino acids and their derivatives with biometals for application as biostimulators of animals and fishes.
Laboratory of chemistry and technology of polyuronides and uronic acids
Chemical modification of natural polymers and their structural analogues. The new mechanism of disintegration of nitrate esters is established at the presence of organic bases. New copolymers are obtained by a method of graft polymerization of vinyl monomers.
Laboratory of organic chemistry
Synthesis of biologically active materials on the basis of hydrocarbons. Efficient ways of reception N-glucosylcarbamide to receipt of low-toxically medical drugs of a various spectrum of action are developed.

Laboratory of physical and chemical methods of the analysis
Studying of physical and chemical properties of disperse systems, temperature phase changes and solid-phase reactions in their mixes in rocks, superconductors and metals.
Laboratory of chemistry and technology of conversion of organic raw material
The mechanism of formation of biostarters and biodestructors and complex development of organic raw material. Methods of reception of fertilizers, growth factors with participation of humic acids on the basis of bioconversion of organic raw material have been developed.
Laboratory of chemistry and technology of vegetative substances
Physical and chemical studying of carbohydrates and compounds accompanying them. Technologies of reception of medicinal substances, food additives, and also of some reagents from wild-growing hydrocarbon-containing the simples growing in the Kyrgyzstan are developed.
Laboratory of chemistry and technology полиуронидов and уроновых acids
Chemical modification of natural polymers and their structural analogues. The new mechanism of disintegration of nitrate esters at the presence of organic basis is established. New copolymers with a graft polymerisation method of vinyl monomers are received.
