The Chemistry Department has a very good relationship with the Biological Department, which has animal breeding and testing facilities.

A wide array of equipment for developing commercial projects is available. For example, the Analytical Chemistry Division has GCs (with FID, NPD, FPD, ECD), GC/MSs (EI,CI), LC/MS(ESI, APCI, APPhI), GC/AED, LCs(UV-vis, electrochemical dtector), ICs, HPTLC, capillary electrophoresis, ICP/MS, RFS, AAS, FTIR, UV-VIS spectrometers and etc.

Divisions and Chairs

The Department of Chemistry has worked with may western companies, including DuPont, The Dow Chemical Company and Lockheed Martin Energy Technologies.

The Department of Chemistry hold many Russian patents and some intellectual property that would be of potential interest in industry.

The Department of Chemistry has many research laboratories in the divisions mentioned above. Many doctors of sciences, candidates of science (PhDs), and senior research scientists work in these labs. The department also trains graduate and post graduate students.
