Reagent-Vostok, Pavlodar, Kazakhstan
First Annual Chemical Science and Commercialization ConferencePresentation
- "Improvement of the ecological situation in the distilleries and on the territory of JSC "Pavlodar Chemical Plant", decreasing wastes into air and sewage" (English) (Russian)
Reagent-Vostok Ltd. ( Pavlodar branch)
Reagent-Vostok was established in 2002 on the site of the Pavlodar Chemical Plant in Pavlodar, Kazakhstan, from which it rents space. Reagent-Vostok is managed by Boris Sharov, who served as Director of the Pavlodar Chemical Plant for 12 years before assuming an ownership position in Reagent-Vostok. Reagent-Vostok is a manufacturing company, which is also involved in research and development. Reagent-Vostok has expertise with developing flotation reagents, including pilot production and testing of developed technologies. Another major focus for the Pavlodar branch of Reagent-Vostok is the commercialization of the unique product, Dezosteril, a disinfectant for Tuberculosis., Additionally, the Reagent-Vostok focuses on the recycling of two production waste streams: fusel oil residue from ethanol manufacturing and hydrogen sulfide byproducts, both of which result from flotation reagent production. The Pavlodar branch chief, Boris Sharov, is the project manager for two ongoing international collaborations in which Reagent-Vostok is involved. Both projects are being developed for funding consideration by the International Science and Technology Center (ISTC), based in Moscow.
Focus areas: Research, development and pilot production of flotation reagents, research for the improvement of Dezosteril, a Tuberculosis disinfectant, and environmental management for hydrogen sulfide and fusel oil waste.
Reagent-Vostok is actively seeking collaborations in these areas , for chromatograph analysis of fusel oils and identification of compounds within the scope of their research.Collaborators with Reagent-Vostok: The Eastern Research Mine and Smelting Institute of Non-ferrous Metals, the Pavlodar Chemical Plant, and the Kazakh National Tuberculosis Center.
