Joint Stock Company “Caustic”
JSC “Caustic” was founded at the Pavlodar Chemical Plant in August, 2002. This joint stock chemical plant comprises 2 facilities on 120 hectares of land and currently employs over 430 people, including 125 professionals and 73 staff members with higher education.
The current primary customers for goods produced at JSC “Caustic” are non-ferrous metal enterprises and the local water purification station. The chemical plant, which houses “Caustic” falls under the authority of the Kazakhstan Ministry of Energy and,Mineral Resources. Currently, the Pavlodar Chemical plant is working with both Kazakh and foreign entities on two environmental management projects in Pavlodar : an on-going mercury remediation effort and a new undertaking that researches the industrial uses of by-product sulfur waste.
Production at JSC Caustic:
- Liquid chlorine, which is stored and bottled in smaller containers
- Sodium Hypochlorite - produced as a by-product of the liquid chlorineproduction line at the Pavlodar Chemical Plant
- Nitrogen and Compressed Air production line.
